Guest | I wanted to make an inn with sleeping people. So I skinned the dungeon table doodad as a bed, and now I want a villager to sleep on it. But the problem is: the doodad is not passable. I tried making the bed a unit so the villager can go over it, but when I let him sleep on it (by playing the death animation) it will fall through it. Can anyone think of a good way to make a unit sleeping on a bed? |

Not sure, but if you create a bed as a special effect, (with triggers within the map iteslf, that is) it should be not merely passable, but completely insubstantial - units will just be able to walk right through it. Perhaps a hovering peasant could "float" over the bed asleep. |

Guest | That special effect thing is a good idea, better than the doodad/unit thing.. but I tried to make the unit fly/float but it still falls through the bed when dying. |

Guest | Maybe if you set the villager as a flyin unit he can HOVER above the doodad with his death animation. |

Guest | yup it works now.. made it a flying unit. The only problem was that the unit either flies too high or doesnt appear at all when changing the fying height in the unit editor. Fixed that by a trigger that changes the flying height. Together with the bed doodad and some "ZZZ" effects it looks pretty cool :D |

Guest | ere it is.. I thought it fully worked, but I still can't get the villager to fly low enough, but it'll do. |
