Here I will show a step by step learning portion of how to draw a male figure. Most people do it the traditional by using lines and circles to get a body, i mainly dont do it that way.

Do not reply or post till all steps are done and complete.

Step 1 -

I usually start of on the abdomen part of the body, mainly the chest.

So take your pencil and draw an oval shape. Roughly tune up the edges so it looks like below. Erase the right side of the circle cause thats where the shoulder and arm will be.

Then on the left side try and do that same thing. Make it Look like hes standing sideways, so that muscle is behind the first.

Step 2 -

Now that you have the chest done you are ready for the next step.

Ok, you are gona draw a shoulder. Usually its a round circle that goes into a point around the bicep. Also above the shoulder there is a muscle that goes from the shoulder to the neck, so dont forget that.

In this picture the left arm will be hanging to his side, and the right arm will be holding a weapon over his shoulder.

Usually make the neck broad and wide.

Step 3 -

Hopefully by now you have the shoulder and chest done. That is the base for the head.

So now you will draw the head. In this picture the head will be facing at a down angle.

From step 2 if you had the neck drawn, fill in the area for the chin. Dont forget the chin goes up to the ear, but not in a straight line. Near the ear it goes straight up.

Now draw the ear, dont make it to small or 2 big.

Finish drawing the round top of the head, usually on oval size, not a circle. I put the hairline in there for when we do the hair later.

Now finish up step 3 by adding an adams apple under the chin, and the 2 tendons that stretch from the chest to the ears.

Step 4 -

In step 4 you will learn to draw the biceps, triceps and shoulders.

If you have the triangular oval shaped shoulder done, draw the bicep going down both sides, then make a sharp turn to meet in a point.

Most people draw biceps as circles but they shud be long rectangular oval shapes.

The tricep is a bit harder, make it go out a little then come down in a point. thats were the shoulder should be started. The shoulder shud be a point or round end with a line underneath. The tricep needs one more touch, which is a line going up into it making it look like its bulging out.

Also we will start the underside of the abdomen, which is followed by a few muscles under the are and chest.

For the right are drawn a quick lighty drawn sketch of the angle of were the are will be placed. In this case it will be over his shoulder because he is holding a weapon.

Step 5 -

here we will finish the abdomen with the 6 pack.

First start off with 2 squares and gradually round the corners. Do the same again right underneath the first set. And the third and bottom set isnt the same. They go down into a triangular point, near the groin.

Finish this step by adding the sides of the abdomen, usually go in after the muscle under the arm is drawn. Then draw the legs and groin.

Step 6 -

In step 6 we will draw the lower arm, high thigh, and finsih the right arm.

We will start with the lower arm, there is usually a round muscle underneath the bicep which goes into a thinner longer shaft. Thats were the hands and palms will be.

The thighs bulge out with muscle then around the knee they curve in, there are 2 muscles on the outside, and 1 in the middle.

Now for the arm, there wont be much bicep left, because the lower arm is overlapping it. Do the same with the lower arm as you did before, but at the end you need it to go into a point for the shoulder. Finish this up by adding the tricep underneath.

Step 7 -

Step 7 will finish both the arms, and finish the thigh.

First at the end of the left arm, add the bone bump that shows near the palm. In this his has his fist ready, so have the index finger go out longer then gradually go in. Then add the thumb.

For the left arm make it tilted and add the thumb on the outside, because its ontop of the handle. Next add the 4 other fingers coming into a hold around the weapon. Add the 2 round edges of the palm, followed by 2 tendoms coming out the palm to the arm. Add the handle and sword :ggani: .

Note: Im not that good at hands, so try your best.

Finish the right thigh by it curving in towards the knee, then add the 3 muscles as before.

Step 8 -

We will finish the legs. Under the muscles you should have a knee cap. On the right leg in goes in then out then leads to the foot. Draw the backside of the leg with a round muscle, then gointo the heel of the foot. Then draw the foot.

For the front leg make it bulge out then go into a narrow shaft, then leads ito the foot.

Note: I cant draw toes, so you do it :P

Step 9 -

Finsih it up by creating your own face and hair, then add some clothes ;) .

In mine I added long hair and crappy anime face. Try it your self.
