Hello fellow concept artists! The official wc3c magazine is holding a concept art competition every month, the first week of every month will be a concept art competition, This month we got a late start since the month started in midweek, so the competition starts tommorow, monday january the 5th, and ends on friday january the 9th. Judges will be picked by the end of the week, and the drawings will be judged. The winner concept art will then be moved to the modeling forum to be modeled, and then to skinning. The theme of this month's contest is "Armoured Dragon". You are to draw a dragon of your choice. Submisssions do not have to be colored, but graphic editing programs are a great advantage. Good luck to all of you who participate! New thread created specifically for submissions, keep chatting to a minimum. Each artist may submit 2 drawings maximum, and is allowed to update his submissions until friday, 11:59:59 PM (eastern) any later then that, and the drawing will not be judged. Please do not attach your submissions here, instead upload it to a free image hosting site such as www.iownjoo.com and use the IMG button on the top. Any type of art is allowed, as long is it's a dragon, wether it's a comical, funny stone age comic, or wether it's an uber hitech dragon, is up to you, as long as it follows the regular rules. First of all, no hentai, and you would ask, or even laugh at why, but there are millions of ways you can portray a sexual/pornograpic theme in a picture, so when i say comical, i don't mean dirty erotica. Don't make huge sized pics such as some of you see on the forum, try to keep the size small so 56kers can look at the current submissions. Color is not a requirement but is a huge plus. One of my three done dragons, forgot to scan one. I didn't have enough room to do the dragons wings right.... The spears not necesary. Maybe I'll get the other one soon. |

nice armour... well, and only 2 of you submitted, i'm still waiting, but i'm not getting any younger, so if the submission is not made within 13 hours, your drawings will not be judged. A have to give a critique on your dragon though, the only eyecandy i see is the armour, it's very niceley drawn, but i'd suggest that you give the same effect to the gold he's wearing, and give him scales or something:P |
