ok i removed the blademaster's head and replaced it with the bloodmage's...now how do i get the bloodmage head to get skinned like it's supposed it be?

did you get the head to fit without the holes and such in the model? anyway, the skin is going to wrap differently since the head model wasn't made to fit with that skin. Try (just a thought) pasting the Bloodmage head portion of the skin into the Blademaster skin, just to see if it will even wrap right. BTW reply to my PM.

Actually what Andy said does work... I tried to do what you would have done (Merging Bloodelf head with Blademasters body) and it worked.

Here is what you should do (Assuming you have merged the bloodelf geoset with the blademasters)

You have to get the new geoset (Bloodelves head) to use his original texture.
You do that by doing the following:
Open up the original HeroBloodelf.mdl and scroll down to the textures part. Do the same on the modified Blademaster.mdl
Now you have to get the first texture from the bloodelf.mdl over to the modified Blademaster.mdl

I have tried to illustrate it a bit (Note that I have added BM and BE in the corner of each their files):

Now it should look a bit like this:

After that is done you have to get the Material part that belongs
to the original bloodelf texture.
Do that by CnP'ing the FIRST material in from the original bloodelf.mdl
into the modified Blademaster.mdl

Like this:

It should turn out like this in the modified blademaster.mdl:

*NOTICE* That I have replaced the 0 in static TextureID 0
with 8 because the new material has to be the number of
the last static TextureID +1 *NOTICE*

Now to finish up you have to scroll down to the section of your
new geoset (being the bloodelf geoset) and change the 0 in MaterialID 0
with 8 because that is the number of your new material.

Should look like this now:

And now you are finished!

If you are interested in how my geoset merge turned out with a modified
bloodelf skin, check out the image below:

- Hope it helps :D

If you don't understand what I'm talking about or you fail to
accomplish the task try following Jackos little tutorial Here

[edit]

LOL! I'm such a fool, making such a tut and now see that you allready got it working (I browsed the model gallary :( )
Anyway for you problem on how to getting the head turning with the animation you have to change the 0 in Matrices { 0 } to the ObjectID of the Head bone. Do a search for head and you should get to a point where it says:

Bone "Bone_Head" {
ObjectId 14,
Parent 3,

ObjectId 14, is the one to look for.
So put 14 into Matrices { 0 } (Replacing the 0 with 14)

Should turn out like this:
