Making Maps That Require Thinking Succeed?

Any tips on that? I read the making maps easier to understand thing but that doesn't really help me in the way i need. I know theres more to making someone play the map again besides just making it understandable (its not like they're boring either, i've gotten positive feedback and even a handful of friends just because of my maps). I mostly make altered melee type maps, usually with some component like just the stats of certain units make it impossible to mass one unit and win. Its essentially still killing and slaughtering, but you gotta put more thought into your units and strategies than normal melee. The maps are polished and on most the map could only be more nub friendly if i went over to the persons house and phyically showed them how to play... Yet i've maybe seen my maps hosted once or twice. In the event someone's actually seen me hosting one of my maps heres all of the maps i have to my name.

Bombardment Wars
Bombardment Wars X
Bombardment Wars 2

Who's the zombie?
