Ok well....I lost my TFT CD and ROC CD about 6 months ago, and finally got around to getting a new copy of it. I used to visit this forum frequently...Anyways, Ive come back and I found that the new editor is much more easy to do things in. Now if i could only remember how to use the darn thing. My question is: How can I use more than 8 textures in my tileset, and/or use snow textures and outland textures in the same map. I know its been done before, and I dont know if the new editor can do it or whatever. I just need a quick straightforward answer that doesnt include using zephyrs map editor...If thats the only way, ill work around it....Thanks again dudes :D |

To add or remove terrain tiles, go to Advanced -> Modify Tileset (at the top). Welcome back. |

Yes, I remember that part...But im wanting to know how to have more than 8 total tiles per tileset.. Is there a way to accomplish this within the WE? |

Not with the basic editor. We read that there are some advanced editors that can do things like that. Not sure which ones. Try the tools section. |

Ya, I know of the editors that do that, but Im unfamilier with them and I would hate to have to learn how to use them because they have no benefit but the few things blizzard limited in the WE. Anyways...I got a new question. How do you put together doodads really close? What value has to be changed in order for them to be able to be placeable next to another doodad? Im getting gaps and its irritating... :bgrun: Why will not shift or ctrl + numpad work for turning Doodad collision off...I dont know how to do it through the Object Editor, sadly.... :( |

Simple. Hold the Shift button when placing Doodads to turn off their collision :D (I don't know how i ever got by without knowing this) |

Thats not working for me at the moment :( Im trying to do it, its just staying in this little gap and its not being nice :nono: |

Hm... is your numlock on? If not, that's why ctrl + numpad keys isn't working. Pressing shift while placing doodads should work though. If it doesn't, you could try changing the pathing map to none, then place them and when you're done change the pathing back to default (not sure if this will work but it's worth a try). |

My numlock is on, but the incriments that the doodad moves is way too large. Also, How do i turn off the pathing map to try that? |

Object editor/doodads - then find a doodad that u want to edit i guess :) |

Ya shark, ive been there... ive looked at all the properties of the doodads in the object editor. What Ive done is used a smaller doodad than normal, which is probably why theres a tiny gap between doodads. But still, I cannot manage to turn pathing off, or to make these specific doodads have no collision... :bgrun: |
