Photoshop CS (8.0) works great with alphas

well I tried it out, and it works perfectly with alpha channels

All I did was load up the gryphon, go to channels, select the alpha, and make the red channel visible (it doesnt matter which you choose as long as your able to see the unit so you know what to alpha out). Then I just painted black over the dwarves head, saved it, converted to blp, exported, and there ya go

i have a pic for you skepticals or people who just want to see a headless dwarf

some photoshop/paintshop pro releases don't handle alpha channels properly ;)

some people might get CS, and go get that targa plugin, or start looking for one, and this is says that its fine right off

it actually stands for creative suite-- its adobes new software pack, the photoshop is actually 8, but its in the creative suite, so guess they can be used interchangeably
