.. how do you do this? And what are the issues with them being still able to be walked on, walked under, and not walked through? Can you make roofs using tiles and tiles of doodads? I've seen many awesome screenshots on this forum that just left me wondering.

using the crtl and arrow keys will cause just thier pathing to overlap each other, nothing really negative about doing this. Just keep in mind that 2 doodads cannot share the same origin.

Origin? You mean, location where they're placed?

Okay, when I hold control and use the arrow keys, the map just moves from side to side. When I hold control and use the mouse, the doodad can be turned to different sides.

That's not right, is it?

...

Aaah, I got it now.. I have to use the arrow keys on the far right of the keyboard.
Okay, so I got the pathing thing covered... so how do i change a doodad's height?

Another question 'bout (custom) doodads..

I want to make a doodad based off of the Human Tower (standard, not upgraded) model. How do I keep it from scrolling through it's possible upgrades / other versions? (mainly the siege type tower)

Up and down = ctrl+pageup ctrl+pagedwn

As for setting a specific animation/model, type in a key word for the a in the "Required Animation" field of the doodad.

Thanks!

Unfortunatly, the "Required Animation" field is not there. Not when I make it a doodad, or when I make it a destructable. :/

place a region around the doodad and use the Animation - Play Doodad Animation and you can pick the region (it can be the entire map also if you want every doodad to play the animation)

Yeah, I kinda thought it would have to come to that. Thanks though. :)
