Things you would like to see in 1 on 1 fights.

I am currently making a fighting-tournament cinematic, and was wondering what kinds of things do you enjoy watching in movies/cinemas when people are fighting?

I don't think 1v1 fighting is easy to do, thats why a good performed sequence would be fun to watch. Something new and entertaining.

This may ceom out as pretty obvious, but...
Big flashy grapics! Lots of magic! (Mages rock) And, jsut for the sake of it, the audience dying from deflected shots, etc.

Lots and lots of action, Thats what duel maps are all about. If you dont try to get some story into it aswell that is.

Well lets see...

# 1 - Uber special effects. Like flashes when swords clash and that kinda stuff is awesome. For mage battles alot of special effects are needed.

# 2 - Action. Gotta have plenty of it, you can have em stop and heavy breathe for a minute, or charge up an attack/spell, but other times have them at each others throats.

# 3 - Cameras. Alot of camera positions for the different parts of the fight. Makes it look very cool. Alternating between closeup/farther away is a good idea.

All this talk about mage battles is getting me excited...mainly becuase...MY Cinematic that will OWN TGN's(hopefully) is a mage battle. and...IT ROCKS! Lots of SFX'es lots of power...and it has a story line...! Check my sig for more info!

lots of action but make it look real. Also go overboard on cameras.:D
