I am having trouble getting this idea to work. Here is what I do: 1)I create an Unit Ability based off Unholy Frenzy with 5 levels, modify it's stats and such. 2)I create a custom upgrade based off Skeletal Mastery. 3)I remove the gold/lumber cost of the Upgrade and make it 5 levels. Then I modify the Data - Effect 1 field to use the Ability Level Bonus function. Then I modify the Data - Effect 1 - Ability Level Bonus - Increment field to 1. The Data - Effect 1 - Ability Level Bonus - Base is set at 1, as well. The Data Effect 1 - Ability Affected is set to Unholy Frenzy. Everything else, has been cleared, such as the prerequisites. 4)I create a trigger that if a hero learns an ability, then it will make a structure learn the upgrade. This works perfectly. After all that work, the ability (in this case, Unholy Frenzy) would remain at level 1 and refuses to level up, even though the upgrade does, no matter what I try to adjust. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? |

It's a unit ability, not a hero ability, so there isn't a level skip requirement. You know... 1.13 added multiple levels for unit abilities. |

You need to make the unit use the upgrade. (for example, if you were having a barracks use unholy aura with 3 levels you would give the barracks unholy aura and then in the "upgrades used" field of the barracks add "unholy aura upgrade" (or whatever you call it ) Also, if there are 3 levels to the upgrade, and the ability starts at level 1(unit starts with the ability) it will end at level 4 once all upgrades have been researched...) |
