Map Beta and I need some advice and questions answered

I have been working on this map for some time and I have, or so I believe, balanced 37 new units/structures along with making changes to given units that I thought needed to be made. I would greatly appreciate comments on this map as I wanted to use some of things from TidesOfBlood and was refused some access to it. I also have some questions that go with this, so here they are:

1. How do I make a hero go above level 10, I want them to go to 18.
2. Can I make a larger map and transfer my custom unit data to it so I don't have to start all over?
3. How do I lock a map?
4. Can anyone open the TidesOfBlood map so I can use some of the models, they are really cool.

Anyone that is helpful on this will receive full credit for their part in the credits, as I plan to make this a series of linked campaigns as I did with my WorldWarII maps.(No, not the FFA maps, the combat WWII maps.)

Don't know if that map file attached correctly, just wanted to be sure.

1. Go to game consanants (under tools i think), it's somewhere in there
2.Yes, for custom unit data anyway, export your unit data somewhere then reimport it into the new map, you still have to start terrain over.
3.Download a map protector, I'm a little lazy to search right now, but there should be some on this site.
4.No, it is protected, and stealing anything from that map would be plagerisim.

Well, i kinda get suspisious when someone wants to get level 18 heros (max in ToB) and then asks someone to open the map...

Anyway, incase I am wrong, then you can find the models/skins in ToB (some, anyway), around the net. Searching here is useless mainly, coz they hate his site. Maybe coz of people like you.

Captain Griffen, that was highly un-called for. Just because he was wondering about getting access to ToB models doesn't as they're really cool (I agree) doesn't mean he wants to rip off the map.

If he wanted the rip the map, why would he ask someone else to open it and get the models? Use your head.

Anyway Kam, Zonr_00 answered all the questions except #3.
There are many map protectors available, but in my opinion the best one is Heavy Locker by BlacKDicK. It can be found here. Have fun!

Wow that was uncalled for. What am I suppose to do, just ignore those cool models that TOB has? I can't afford 5k for Maya or 3DMax so I have no choice but to try and use others. I tried to email the dev team but they gave me no response so I figured I would come here. Why do people lock their maps when they have such awsome modeling and custom abilities/heros? People need them! I even sent them a copy of my map to try and prove my trustworthyness, but to no avail. Bah I say.

Yes they do, but unfortunatly, there are too many retards who would just take the map and slap thier name all over it. It really Pisses me off that so many people are so childish about a ****ing game..

Yes well if anyone has found a place to get those model files I would be greatfull, although I will try and get some help from the dev team again. Thx anyway.

Or just make tons of rip offs of it, Wintermaul is one sad sad example of this. It used to be fun, until people started making a ton of diffren't (and ussually crappy) versions off of it. And most people don't even pay attention enough to know that the reason why it's called wintermaul TD is because the map maker's name is Duke Wintermaul something.

Hmm, I could've swore I saw some of the models used in tob and skins used on this website.

I know the musashi miyamoto model used in the v.99m3 version of ToB is a model posted on this site, its modelled after some Soul Caliber 2 character. I know the tiger that the Scythian Maiden summons is on this website too.

Alot of the more recent skins are drawn up by "Jacinthe" and i've seen her post on these forums a bit. You could try asking her permission to use some of her skins. I know she did the most recent "Leto Atreides II" skin, the "Jean" skin, and I know theres more.

Not sure where the pirate skin came from but I know its just a retextured Admiral Proudmoore. The sword he uses is just the Epee taken from Clotaires Devil May Cry 2 model/skin pack. The reverse dagger that Musashi uses also you can get off a site, i think its "http://campaigncreations.org/warcraft/freebies/units-attachments.shtml".

Not sure do drew up the skin for the Scion of the storm but honestly I dont think its that great. Most the rest of the skins are just recolored or normal models from wc3/tft.

Many of the models you can find right here at wc3campaigns, and a few of the skins as well (you can find the Scion's skin here Huh). Others are available at Metalplanet. Those are all available for public use. Some, like the altered meteors and the blood elemental, are not.

Are you sure you emailed me? I assume our mail is back to working since I've been receiving them steadily, but I never got yours. In any case, it's always better to use the site. Use PM's there if you feel it's appropriate.

Jacinthe won't give out her skins, and the rest can be found with a little searching at metalplanet.. Why not try a little harder next time and do some research before making a fool of yourself, Kam. Try to be a little more original next time, instead of basically cloning a map.

F_U_C_K you man. My map has nothing to do with ToB, it's a regular melee map. I just have alot of custom units from WC 2 and I thought that I could use that altered meteor that was mentioned to make a new ability called Dragon Storm.(Dragon falls from the sky in a ball of fire.)And if your interested here it is, and it's not half assed or unbalanced. Only has Orc and Humans. Know what your talking about before you insult me.

Captain Griffen, about the Level 18 thing. Maybe he wants to have 5 skills with 4 levels for each. Or 4 skills with 5 levels each.
