Site Upgrades

WC3Campaigns will be upgrading to vBulletin 3, so expect some short downtimes throughout the next few days. We hope to be fully upgraded within a week or so, but this may take longer.

Cool an Upgrade! What changes can we expect?

The main change will be that we will be running vBulletin 3, which you can try at http://www.vbulletin.com, instead of vBulletin 2. We may lose a few hacks in the update (the store hack, for example), though that is still uncertain. We will have to update the current themes to work with vB3, so you should expect a new look for the forums. Finally, we will get a new portal, or code our own front page for the new version of vB. As you might expect, this will take some time, so please be patient. Until we have everything working, you can continue to use the vB2 forums, which should remain unaffected.

ALL scripts will be converted to vB3 if possible. BUt the DL Center will be our first priority to be fixed, also expect ALOT more new stuff upon the upgrade.

Wasn't VB3 released a while ago? Just wondering why we didn't upgrade before...

I'm geussing at the release of Vb3 there wasn't much for it making it not as valuable of a upgrade. But i suppose the opinon has been a yes between the admins.

Technically, vB3 hasn't been released yet. So far we've seen beta, gamma, and release canidate versions, but no full release yet. The reason we didn't upgrade before is that it isn't easy to do.

And some of those vB3 releases are buggy and not yet fully beta tested.

was this paid with the competetion money?

Lucy: I would guess that would be a no as they most likly just renew the subscription to vbulletin every year.

My question is about the portal. Will you guys continue to use vBportal for the main page. If so mabey you should wait till the vBportal 3.0 comes out. It should be out soon as the full release of vbulletin 3.0 should be soon.

3rd version is alot nicer the other site i posted at has upgraded(was down 4 2 days but it got upgradeed faster)

My account (SS3Goku) got screwed up so I can't do anything and I think it might be because of this new patch. can someone please fix this.

I dont think it was the patch.. I think its because this site was hacked.
