KMK - a mdx <-> 3ds converter?

would that be hard with the code you already have? it would help a lot of us who are not fortunate enough to have 3ds max.

Don't you need 3D Studio Max or GMax to open those files anyway?

Gmax is free and supports maxscript. A converter like your talking about would only support doodads. DaishiOfDeath's program already supports this.

gmax does not support export, IIRC. anyway... i own milkshape... which can import 3ds files.
