I was trying to attach a model to the left hand with an ability, but it is attached to the left but not to the hand, it goes close to the foot Sorry Eriond, I think I hit edit instead of quote |

awkward left hand all lower case has worked for me. Try hand left that may be the correct way to do it. |

Ah, right, this problem. Enter 'hand left' (sans the aposterphes). The Object editor will split them up into two lines, pay that no mind. It should work ok. Some units have their hands reversed, btw - stonemaul ogres are so stupid, they can't tell right from left. I'm not sure if they're the only ones that applies to. |

Oh! I found the problem. You see, I'm not actually doing it as a special effect, i'm doing it as an item target attachment point. Hand Left works on special effects but not on the attachment points.... is there anything I can do? I have to remodel my entire weapon system otherwise :-( |

DT4: A rocks for this reason... Just create a special effect array and destroy the model which correspond to that custom integer when you don't need it anymore. |

You don't understand, sorry, I'll try again. You know the fire orb? You know the firery thing it has around it's weapon? Well that's not in triggers, it's under the item ability... so, yeah. I wanted to do it with taht ability, but it's not working, so I'm using triggers now. Thanks. |

Um, no, Eriond, it can be done. Simply give the item a modified Item Defense Bonus, change the name to "Sword art" and under attachments, add the weapon model, change attachment points to 1, and put "hand left" under the first attachment point. Probably too late, but there is a simple way of doing it. |

Well eriond I was suggesting you move your bugged system from just straight items to use DT4:A which will do everything you want without a hitch and clean up after itself. |

when changing attachment points of an ability , you should not use "hand left", you should use "hand" and then "left" (Add value with that dialog) |

I always used "left hand", not "hand left", and never had problems... |
