The Battle for Rulrindale *If you want to skip this long part, just head down to the summary. Be forewarned, however, if you're expecting an AOS clone, you're completely wrong. The map I'm creating uses my own custom statistics and abilities, such as: all heroes have a max level of 45. Character growth is slow, albeit levels are gained at a constant rate: that is, attribute scores and health levels are low. Every hero has 5 abilities: 4 level 10 abilities and 1 level 5 ability (which is always an attribute bonus). Character receive an additional attribute at an estimated 1 every 1.5 levels (not including the attribute bonus). Regardless, Battle for Rulrindale is an AOS-style map with, dare I say, a story, which is still being hammered out at the moment. For more details on said story, contact me at my e-mail ([email protected]) or AOL IM (VandellsMilk). There are two sides, the Rulrindalians and the Vildar, which are equally balanced in strength, and both teams generate units in a set time interval. Now, I'm looking for a terrain expert, an advanced trigger expert, and hopefully, a skinner/texture expert. Beta-testers are also appreciated. As of now I have seven fully-completed and balanced heros (well, not balanced yet, but they eventually will be) and a very, very basic and very crude-to-the-eyes map made up. I'll be glad to send any askers a copy of my map and would absolutely love to hear any oppinions. In summary... - Battle for Rulrindale is an AOS-esque map - though it is far from being a clone. - Abilities / balancing is custom made (every single one) by me to fit my ability scheme. - Hero growth is slow, yet rewarding: very, very rewarding. Contact Information - E-mail: [email protected] - MSN Messenger: [email protected] - AOL Instant Messenger: VandellsMilk - I'm looking for a terrain/trigger/texture/skinning expert. Post-script Please, send any and all tips, oppinions, comments and flames (but, hopefully you won't send the latter). I look forward to each and every one of them; full credit will be given to those who aid in testing/creation, or who give me some truely great ideas. Thank you! |
