RPG help plz

I need some ideas for my RPG map. I need an idea for the main hero, some quest concepts, and plot ideas. Plz help me! :...:

Hell you need an RPG map.

We cant help you at all if you wont even give us a setting for the game, for all we know your game could be about escaped mutant lab rats taking over the Italian mafia.

The setting is Lorderon Summer tileset, with a little village. Here my hero lives, and a lot of people needs his help within the city (and without the city).

Just a little question... what *kind* og hero(s) are we talking here?
If it's jsut average little 4-skills-3levels hero, then I'm out. I doo have alot of overpowered 5-skills-10levels heros, though.

Sad to say... neither of their spells are trigger-spells, but if you're interested?

Right now I only need ideas for a 3-6 level hero. And his quests.

Grom: Um, maybe read a book? Watch a movie? Learn what a compelling story would be, then work on a game? RPG does not mean "Find village, go kill murlocs for village, move to next village and repeat."

Start out with a character, Make him have friends and family, Make him have some crap happen to him that he figures out in his town (lets just say the cookie monster went out and got his sister and took her to a secret island in the bahamas) then he goes out and trys to defeat it. Just replace the characters and locations with your own stuff, its how RPG's work. Its a common goal amung RPG games. 0_o

How about something diffrent from the normal medival-like rpg. I know WC kinda forces you to do that, but maybe you can change it a bit. Maybe an asian inspired one. I know there was someone here who made a whole mess of asian models/skins for a campaign or something, maybe he'll share. Or maybe go a bit sci-fi like Xenogears, put some marines it. Or something pokemon-like where the story revolves around the diffrent monsters/creeps. As for story, just copy something out of another games, current events or history.

Heroes hometown gets destroyed. Hero starts out as weakling but somehow becomes ungodly powerful. Must defeat super bad guy while saving the world. Love side-story with a girl you meet along the way is needed also.

Give the character a great life, he finally got the last thing he ever wanted. Then take it all away. Have the rest of the story revolve around him trying to rebuild what he once had, only to realize that it isn't as easy as it was before. Eventually the builds builds a new life because the old one he can never get back again. Also you can give him thirst for vengeance once he realizes he can never have his old life back.

I have desided to use some sci-fi and Star-wars like elements in the game. There will be a number of planets that the hero can visit. And all the planets has its own look, traits, folks and creatures. And the hero have a family! I think it shall be a father, a mother, two brothers, one sister, a cousin and an uncle.

I had a similar idea for a planet-hopping RPG, good to see someone actually doing it. (God knows I'd never get round to it). Try to stay away from already-milked RPG ideas like the seriously cliched example Dracos gave you (yes I know it was deliberately poor). Although love interest ideas are always good especially if the player has some say in it, it keeps the plot interesting and deep. Keep it up!
