Is there any way to make cliffs stack on top of each other? Like you know, having level four high cliffs, without having a base? Where can I set this constant? I looks in the UI/Miscdata , where I thought it most likely to be, but it's not there.... can I change this?

I think I heard someone who acheived a similar effect with doodads using the "elevator" model... but I don't know if that will help you.

As far as I know, it's not possible to change the max height difference between 2 grid squares.

Anyway good luck and hopefully someone else knows something more useful....

im not entirely sure what you are asking for but if you want to make a cliff make use raise terrain and then use the "plateau" option (get USMWE to make truly high quests). Oh and remember to use a pathing blocker or a region trigger otherwise they can run right down the cliff wall (roadrunner style :ggani: )

No, I'm asking if there's a way to stack cliffs ontop of each other. I don't really like the doodad idea, and the using the modified miscdata.txt doesn't help much either, because it's not exactly for lush terrain, it's for a cityscape map... so if anyone else has any more ideas, please let me know.

I've butted against a similar problem for my map, Eriond, and it's made worse by the fact that flying units can fly right through structure doodads. So I had to raise the terrain up under the buildings, then lower the doodad so that they cover the raised terrain.

Essentially, no, there's no way to raise land without "supporting" terrain; you can raise 2 levels, but the third and forth require a supporting layer, as you've no doubt discovered. Basically, the best you can do is camoflage the supporting layer, by putting wall doodads, bushes, trees, and other building doodads over the supporting layer, then lowering them down to mask them somewhat.

It's by no means perfect, but I've not found any other way to do it, and I'm trying to fill a whole 256x~175 area full of realistic, modern day cityscape - camoflage ideas start getting scarce after a while of that, let me tell you!
