I'm sure there is a simple solution to my problem. I've just been unable to find it. I can implant files into my levels just fine. And I know that they all work perfectly. The problem is that they only work the second time the map is loaded. Every time I play the map and want the implanted files to work, I have to restart the map. Once that is done, everything is hunky dory. So does anyone have a solution to this? Thanks in advance. |

Guest | that's strange.. have you tried running your fresh mpq-ed map on a different machine? And what happens if you reboot after implanting? :D you could of course do some trigger in your map saying that when your map gets runned for the first time (by checking game cache), it should be ended in victory with no messages, and the next scenario should be that same map, so it gets restarted LOL |

I remember having that problem awhile back. I'm pretty sure you had to keep the Hide minimap in preview screens box unchecked and you have to be using the default loading screen. It worked for me! |

Are you serious? Damn... If anyone has a better solution that would be great. I'm making an RPG map and if they can see the minimap then that's no good. Especially if they have the entire loading time. The default loading screen shows the minimap so that's all they'll look at. Hmmm. Well, I'll try it and use that for testing but I really would like another solution. ----EDIT---- Ok, I've tested it and it's working. All I had to do was uncheck the "Hide Minimap" box. I was able to leave the loading screen the same. This is fine. Thank you very much for you help. |
