Not to be mean to new users... such as myself but I know quiet a few users, (that I shall not name) that do not participate in ANYTHING on the site other then downloading the files they want. There are plenty of other sites that are just for downloading files... so I think at least some points should be required to download files. So, lets see whos with me on this idea! Well, not to say anything will actualy happen no matter what the poll says, thats up to the guys that run the site... but vote anyways? If your going to veiw this thread why not take the extra 2 seconds and vote? |

Everybody has to start somewhere. Besides, wouldn't it be better for map editing neophytes to glom as many examples of good maps and map making tools as possible first, THEN post? Otherwise you'll just provoke a wave of "hi im new 2 map editing how do u guyz do it tellme plzkthx" posts to earn points with which to DL stuff. |

WHOA!!! I LOVE THE GARGOYLE cartoon. It sooo cool!!! By the way, it is the BAD IDEAS for everything to be cost. Talk about 1 model or map cost 100 point. DAMN, crazy already. |

I ment more like 10 points or so... 100... thats just insane! |

A system like that would only generate more spam. Sorry, but I don't agree with it. |

Well hey, it wasted some of all our time I think it was worth posting anyways! |

Hells no. |

I only think users need to get points from the downloads like they would if they posted in a thread. And unless i'm mistaken- they dont. And requiring points for downloads is just stupid. Simply because you'd have a noobie come in by name of abcd posting 20 useless posts only to acquire the Human DH skin. |

Objective for DL section - Get people to download good stuff from here, not limiting the amount of DLs. |

If people can't see the quality of the mods we produce here why would they sign up? -Peace ez |

Why charge dl when you can charge ppl for reviving old threads? |

Nothing wrong with people downloading files off the site, it's just the people that don't do anything other then download the files. Most of the people pay no respect to the authors, they don't care about the community, they just want to take the files they need and move on to the next site. But if you don't mind someone who would just take 50+ files of yours and not even say thanks, then ok? I simply think people need to participate in the forums more then go file grabben on the dl section. I do not ask you to agree with me, but rather see it from my point of veiw. |

i think that people who submit their work deserve points, but then that would just invoke yet a different wave of "recolors and minor changes" |

A lot of people do stuff for free. As you can see in Artists Request. As for ez spaming like Can you help me with this... It doesnt matter to you. Points its just for changing their own posts literaly. Who cares if you got points or not. Its just self opinion on what other post looks like. Some people want points reguarding this so I think that they [as in the moderators or mod] should put in a system which you can attach a file and have a certain ammount of fee to download it. Like I attach a mp3 and made it cost 10 points. If a person clicks to it , it should lead to a buying area like the one from buying it at the forum store. |

I agree partially; the maker of the submitted skin should get 1 oint per 7 downloads, and have someone "verify" all dls; very bad/recolor wont give points, but good skins would. |
