Altered Slk Files Dont Work??

Sorry if I missed the thread on this subject but ive been looking for 3 hours now if there has been a update by blizzard that doesnt allow you to use altered ability.slk files in maps anymore? I have been out of the loop for a couple of months and im getting back into spell editing that is the way i use to edit spells, but now i go throught the motions and when i load my map editor the spells are in there but when i test the map the spells do not show up?
anyone have an idea why this is or maybe you cant edit spells via the abilitydata.slk files anymore???

try using the updated files from the war3patch.mpq file those files should work. If that doesn't work for you I have no idea whats wrong with your game, I use alterd slk files my self and they work fine in the new 1.14 patch

Is there an updated version of WINMPQ that maybe i need to get??
