Import the blp file with the import manager in the world editor. Change custom path: Units\Undead\HeroDeathKnight\HeroDeathknight.blp

To change the path of a imported object (skin/model) right click and type in the path

What tools you use for skinning photoshop, paintshop pro ...

I guess you messed the alpha channel. Then the model with the skin will not show in game. Hope it helps sorry that I can't do more!

Hmmm not sure if that helps ... but I think an age ago I did it that way.

Copy your new file in the wc3 directory.
For example your wc3 directory is d:\warcraftiii\
Then you have to copy your new skin for viewing the new DeathKnight
d:\warcraftiii\Units\Undead\HeroDeathKnight\HeroDeathknight.blp

Hope that solves your problem now Shadow_Strike!

Then you have to copy your new skin for viewing the new DeathKnight
d:\warcraftiii\Units\Undead\HeroDeathKnight\HeroDeathknight.blp

plz reword that...

screw it... i found out how... in a grueling process

1. take the real path and make a folder for eveyone of them.
ex. folder named Abilites, folder inside named Spells, folder inside named NightElf, mdx document inside named EntangleRoots.
2. add the blp in the same fashion
3. add to zip file
4. convert to mpq using an mpq converter (blackdicks)
5. open up using wc3 viewer
