Upgrades increase spawn? - like ring wars!

Iunno if you've all played ring wars, or silmarillion. But for my map.. well its that type of map and i need castle upgrades and then it gives u more units.. then eventually better ones. I need to know how to do this, I'm not sure if its a trigger or what ... if u can help that would be great.
