im new at modding and i need some advice on wat programs 2 use, how 2, get them, and how 2 use them. the only game ive modded was AoK: TC and i wwant 2 do some 3d gamees now so any advice would be appreciated. Thanx! |

Browse the forum, and read the tutorials. There is a thread for what programs you need, but I suggest you take a look at modding War3 in its entirety and decide what approach you wish to take, and where your skills lie. |

I think a good start would just be using World Edit to make a bunch of new units based off the originals. It's nothing complex - just editing values, sizes and stuff. That's what I've done anyway - basic sets of units for demons, Pandarens, etc. After that, you can try Skinning and modelling, of which there are tutorials for either around here. |
