How do I play a custom sound that I have imported into the sound editor when a unit is selected?

I have been having trouble with this, so I looked at the Prolouge 1 map in the editor, and there is a variable that is added to the actions of select and move, without an event. I'm assuming that its a script, but where do I find it, and how could I do something similar in my own map?
