merging two maps

I seem to have run into a problem here.... I started to make a rpg map a while ago, all i ended up with was the heros and their spells, thats 16 heros all with 4 custom trigger spells each , that map has a ridiculos ammount of work in it. just recently i started to make another rpg , this one has everythign but the heroes, there is also a ridiculos ammount of work in this one. now i want to get the heroes into this map and it will pretty much be done, but i don't see a quick way to get all the information into my heroless map as importing custom data would erase all have so far which is a lot, now maualy moving things would takes ages as there is a large large ammount of information to transfer. so is there anyway i can get my heroes into my heroless map?

export your object editro data, then go to the heroless one, and import it, that should work. except you would need to redo your triggers

I already said that wouldn't work, i already have a lot of object data in the hero less one that would take a very long time to remake hence the problem

CnP............. The only way.......


Open both maps at the same time in WE (Yes it is possible).

Goto the one with your heroes (click "Windows" and it should be one of the 2 at the bottom) and open the object editor, right click and copy unit/ability/upgrade (NOTE: You should do any upgrades and abilities FIRST).

Click windows and switch to the one without the heroes (there IS a windows menu in the object editor, so no need to go back to the terrain editor) and paste the unit/ability/upgrade......



One by one...... thats the only way.... but at least you wouldn't have to recreate them..............



NOTE: After CnP you will have to check the units abilities list, as it may need to be corrected.
