About the site and lost posts.

A lot of you have posted about the site getting hacked and having the forums reverted. To clear up some confusion:

Yes, the site was hacked.
Yes, the store is down and it may not come back up.
Yes, all posts, account changes, private messages, etc. that were made after Jan 20th at 3:03am Central Time (GMT -6) are lost.


Please just continue posting as normal. If you had any posts that were lost, remake them. We are all affected by this equally so let's just help eachother out and get over this little bump in the road.

This stinks. But, at least things may be/have been fixed. And perhaps better prepared for the future?

At first i was hoping/thinking that this had to do with the vbulletien upgrade - I was dissapointed to learn otherwise.

Perhaps this should be on the front page to stop the "What in the **** happened" esque posts?

And when trying to visit the store i found how depressed and burdened the Wc3c server really is. Poor server...

you're not the only one who lost stuff I lost 50 points and my avatar and I may never get it back until WC3Campaignes upgrades vb3 :(

I don't think so because that person seemed to be quite happy to admit he did it. This person on the other hand, Does not leave such a trace.

My geuss goes to the recent 'Lucy' and 'AttenionWhore' spammer. I'm geussing newer security precautions are being put into place. And, about avatars/custom titles, Shouldn't they just become free (for the time being)

The last hacker to hit... it would have been around 6 months ago, I think. Bummer about the store... I was finally starting to post enough that I could do stuff.

Custom avatar and title will prolly either become free or like before (50 posts to get custom title, which doens't seem to be a problem to most people)

Good news. The store is back up. The person who hacked the site actually had the guts to help me fix the hole.
