Rising above the mighty pine forests of Helethor, jet-black against the night's sky, is mount Serithor. Within its depths lies a mighty city; a whole country is concealed beneath the rock, spiralling down into the deep. The dwarves of Serithor kept in close contact with the Alliance and Khaz Modan during the old wars, but now, no message has reached them for many long years. They are at peace, though they still keep correspondence with the other dwarven cities. They are safe from all who would attack from the North, South, East or West. However, there is one enemy they are not prepared for…

In the bowels of the earth, many hands are busy, many eyes are fixed on the dwarves and their stronghold. Those shunned and repulsed by the light, those who seek glory and riches. The goblins.

Now, the attack has been launched, and far below the ground, a battle will rage that will shake the foundations of Azeroth.

"Keen are our eyes and sharp are our teeth,
watch out for the threat that lurks underneath

-Goblin warcry-

middle earth? you say that on the forum name, and your names for things are leading way to close to LOTR it'd be betta if you keep it more in the warcraft universe. just cuz.. ya :P

The mountain is in Azeroth, don't worry, it is to the left of Grim Batol (consult wc2 map)

I think its more the middle earth thing that makes it lotr like. Thats what I thought when I first saw that

I think the whole world is called azeroth even though there is also a continent called azeroth. I havent heard otherwise and I wish they would make it clearer what the whole world was actually called

Don't get so hung up on continuity, god knows blizzard doesn't ;)

Also, this war isn't mentioned outside of the context of this story, because (as you find out after you've played it) all contact between the other dwarves is cut off by the goblins, it is very much a one on one battle between these two factions

I see...
are it going to be sapeparate campaigns, or just the goblins/dwarves
Hang on, this was mentioned somewhere, wasnt it?

Well, I'm not sure yet, it depends if I choose to pack it as a .mpq or if I make it a campaign file

if it is a campaign file, then it'll probs be one big campaign (not sure how to make one quite so long though) and if it's a .mpq, it'll be two separate ones

most likely, we'll go for the .mpq
