Why won't my World Editor display any of the TFT units -_-? It shows things like the "Neutral - Naga" thing in the Unit Palette but only a start location is clickable. When I load up maps, TFT units appear as black boxes. I'm confused. `` At first I thought maybe I needed a patch, but I can't find anything to fix it. -_- Someone please help me? :P |

Um, make sure you have the latest TFT patch installed. Try re-installing TFT. Honestly thats all I can think of. Its never happened to me. Just try reinstalling and then patching and see if that fixes it for ya. -Huh |

I did install the patch just as you replied, but still nothing. I don't understand why it's not letting me use the units. -_- Thanks for the help though. `` <EDIT> I just realized something else. When I go into the Object Editor, I can see the new spells and stuff for TFT, but I can't use any of the new TFT models. They're not even there for me to look at, let alone use. :/ This is always my luck. ^^ Anyone who knows what the deal is, please PM or respond. I wanted to get started on a project but with this crap it looks like I can't. :/ </EDIT> |

Try downloading WC3 viewer from downloads section on this site, and manually opening up the mpq (i think tft one is wc3x.mpq or similar.. it has an x in it), and browsing for new models. Chances are however you might just have a bad copy of the game :bgrun: |

Well, viewing the models is no problem. I just can't place any TFT units in the editor. My game is fine, I've been playing it. I think it's just my editor may be out-dated. Anybody know where I can get an update? |

I am surprised as how you people don't read the faq at all. Please delete any old special editor |

Blah FAQ, theres a hundred billion of them on this website. I'm not complaining, because some of them are useful. Just don't expect every single person who has a question to peruse through a bunch of tutorials every time they need help. Besides, it's not that hard to help out :) He makes a good point though, if you had like say an older version of UMSWE or something from RoC i would imagine it would mess up the TFT one when you installed it. |

I've read the FAQ but I'm using the World Editor that comes with the game and haven't found anything from the FAQ's here. Sorry, but I just can't figure out what's wrong. -_- |

The units are stored in different sub-groups in the World Editor. For example, most of the standard four races of units are under "Melee", but all the naga units are under "Campaign", as well as anything that's used exclusively in the campaigns. Doesn't sound like that's necessarily your problem. But it's all I can think of at the moment. You have patched up to the most recent patch? |

Yeah, tried all that already. Nothing is even under the campaign dropdown selection. Only starting locations. :/ To be honest, I'm really irritated with this crap right about now. -_- I'm reading FAQ's like you wouldn't believe. T_T |
