Guest | I've decided to start a single player RPG map. Heh sounds pretty much like old news so far? Actually it isn't. Please read on. This map will have a dark theme, mostly based on vampires, and loosely on werewolves and ghosts. There are so many maps out there that are "like" this but very much not similiar to what i'm talking about. I want and know its possible to make something amazing: rich with memorable storyline, recognizable characters, cool plot concepts, and most importantly, good humour. Things not your average 14-year old avid gamer can appreciate. I think I know what you might be thinking- it's probably going to be one of those maps filled with cheesed clichés and lines like "heroes, we need your help, you are our only hope!!!?@#!" and "oh children, when will they ever learn?" (from kaggz, which I thought to be good, but teeny). This isn't anything like that at all (in fact, it will probably try its best to deviate from it). The map will be something dark and stylish (think jazz). Something new. For once the player won't be the boy-scout helping everyone and saving villages. I don't want to reveal too much about the map idea, but it's less like vampire hunter maps, and more like the view of a vampire, how he deals with remorse and confusion, and how in time, his powers grow as he meets different people and places. Whats all this junk have to do with you? Well I need help. It would happen twice as quick, and be twice as interesting! If you are interested in doing something that challenges even Krill (if thats even possible: a big single map better than a wholecampaign), then please contact me. I'm looking for someone dedicated, has GOOD taste, and finally, someone good with the mechanics of map making (cameras, triggers, math). Basically, I am looking for some1 who helps with most of the technical stuff, while I can get the artistic section: story, terrian and dialogue. It may seem such a turn-off just doing the "boring" stuff and not being able to do the fun stuff like design (every1 wants to do design) , but it really isn't, since I am familiar with the editor also, and help on the art of the map is very possible too. my email is [email protected], contact if interested. |

There are no recognisably good mappers, modellers or skinners that are available at the moment it seems... They all jumped on their little MOD wagon with a few other ppl and started having fun (without me, sob). I put a pause to my MOD project to wait for others to be finished and more people to be available... you might have to do the same thing too :-/ Hope you'll be luckier than I am... |
