I made my tank model, deleted all the joints (I didn't run Zero Joints earlier), then ran Zero Joints, then made joints, then animated. But when I try to make it into a .mdx, it won't work. I use Yobgul's File Converter. Attached is the .mdl. |

Hummm my 3d files are in .mdx.... why dont you just use the w3 exporter plugin in 3dsmax??? |

Because I use milkshape. I forgot to mention that. |

Ok well I think I found the problem... The TVertices are all 0s. The next 2 TVertices further down the .mdl are fine though. When I try to convert it, it shows me this: |

i think you misread the readme. you make your bones, THEN run zero joints, THEN you animate. after that you export the .mdl and then paste a heading from a blizzard model, then you edit the texture path for your needs. only then will it convert to mdx. there is one other issue that can cause problems, read the ENTIRE readme and it will tell you how to solve this as well. |

Hmm, I've been having a problem similar to that, and I cant find the readme. Here's what it shows when I try to convert: |

And when I close the program, this is what shows up. Did I download it wrong? Please if someone knows whats going on, could they help? |

Heh, I get that too. I don't think we should worry about it. All my other models (aka my halberd, sphere, square, and sword) converts just fine (well, they got no animations :P) I can't try kdub's way 'cause I'm not at home... Can't wait till I'm at home... |

well its not really "kdub's way" its THE way. i made the plugin... ive exported probably 30-40 models from milkshape and never had one that wouldnt convert. if it isnt working chances are you made a mistake. |

I have also exported many models through milkshape though i have had some problems but often just easy mdl mistakes... |

ok i didnt realize that you had attatched the .mdl i downloaded it and fixed it you had 2 problems 1- you didnt repair the normals as described in the readme 2- you had 2 geosets that had 0 verts, a geoset must have at least 3 to be valid. be sure to delete all empty groups in milkshape before you export. it now converts to mdx |
