I am using the Milkshape exporter from the downloads sections - it comes up as an export option and creates an mdl - except when I try to convert to mdx it errors up... I read the mdl and it's slightly different from the usual ones - what should I do here... How does everyone else do it (I was making a simple axe as my first try) edit: oh, another thing I tried - importing a model (paladin) using biturn - slight edit - export - check out mdl - loads of blanks and 000000's in the text is this part of the same problem |

you have to get a heading from another .mdl or from the sample heading i put with the download, and paste it in the big area that says PASTE HEADING HERE. if you did do that already then either you made a mistake in your heading or you need to repair the normals area as described in the readme. i have yet to run accross a model that did not work. make sure all your verts are assigned to a bone, that also will create problems. |

so it's just the heading that needs pasting? The error that comes up is "...line 756" |
