wc3 single player loader crashes..

When i play on single player, my game crashes giving me the critical error...does this happen to any one else?

well what is yer error message. What people have been tellin me to do is reinstall over since the first patc hwhich is what i'm about to do.

well.... i get critical (divide_by_zero) and when i try to use the compatibility bs (I use winXP) it gives me the error u posted...

Well here is a good idea for everyone.

When you're about to enter wc3campaign forum check the news before entering.

you can might find fixed stuff or patches and stuff.(we arent talking about patches and stuff right now.)

i was geting that message until i went into reedit, deleted the war3 folder, and the battle.net folder under hkey_current_user

Screw the shotgun approach to solving these kinds of issues. If someone tells you to friggin download a new copy of the ISO then reinstall the entire game including your device drivers it meanse they are playing hit and miss instead of bothering to understand the problem. I suppose next I should reinstall the BIOS and the operating system too.

Whoever made the single player crack for 1.32 screwed up and didn't test it before releasing it. Then the websites (war3pub, cherie, and wc3campaigns) didn't bother testing it either before kindly making it available for download. I tried it on two systems (ME and 2000) and got the same crash error when hitting the Single Play button and I've seen other people post the same problem only to get smug replies.

So, I had to reinstall the game only upgrading to 1.31 then used the singleplayercrack for 1.31. Everything works so far. If you haven't upgraded to 1.32 yet I don't reinstall from scratch. Just try going to 1.31 and see if that works first.

YobGuls has tested his (or her) singleplayer crack.
Gaming companies test their released too (think Blizzard) and still people are having problems running games...

My point is: There are certainly some situations in wich the sp crack won't work -or not perfectly-, but not all of these situations are forseen, or able to forsee - as with most things in life :p


He (or she) meant to delete the folder in 'regedit' (for those who didn't understand)
Regedit is a program for editing the system regestry - if you didn't know this, I suggest you don't tamper with it.

well i found that when i deleted most of the stuff that cluttered my directory it worked. but i haven't reinstalled since 1.13 so i'm gonna do that since this is a buggy program and yer gonna have to reinstall once in a while so it can't hurt u know?

mine used to crash too whenever i would try single player. i think it was because i had an old version of the ai installed. think my problem was a common.(something) file that had came from a previous ai pack.

and just to add to jacks statement. when ppl tell you to reinstall the game and delete the reg. information pertaining to the game its not a hit and miss.. If you've been playing since all these betas came to us you'd know that alot of the files have changed since the beginning (ie first patch, 2nd patch bs). And anytime your adding things to registry, your always taking a chance of screwing something up. if your using the ai, i would make sure you have the latest versions installed, and make sure none of the old ai files are left behind (in case something didn't get overwritten from before).

and always remember. this IS a beta and the ppl ( we love you yob ) that right these addons put alot of time into what they do. if your not happy with the work they do then you should make your own and quit whining. I haven't had any problems since with the sp crack in either winxp or WinMe (running 1.32).

*edit - if your not smart enough to figure out how to get these things to work. you probably shouldn't be using them in the first place. these forums should be for helping each other out, not whining or biching. ppl like you greymann should just wait for the game to actually release, and cry to blizzard when you have problems.

I've only seen that error when the crack version and war3 version don't match up.
