i think that there should be a thread that defines all of the terms used on this site. i know that when i first joined i was very confused at times as to the meanings of some things

so ill start with what i know and every one else just keep putting more in, or ones that i miss (will be alot)

the basics

Jass programing language of triggers
WE world editor
BLP skin file
MDX/MDL model file
MPQ is the large file that holds all of war3

WC3- Warcraft III
WC3C- Warcraft III Campains
GUI- Normal non JASS triggers
Triggerer- A person specializing in triggers
Terrianer- someone who specializes in terrien
WIP- work in progress
AIM- Aol Instant Messenger
MSN- MSN Instant Messenger
Map Protector- A way to pervent a map from being opened in the WE
3Ds Max- The model making utility used for Warcraft II (Versions 4-5)
Art Tools- Warcraft 3 art tools- convert models from above
