Questions about download center

First off. Whenever I see tons of old version of maps in the download center. Whats the point of having then because people always host the newer ones? Second can people submit maps that they didnt make and give credit or should they ask the maker of the map first? Thanks.

I have been trying to ask them that quetion for over a month, they just ignored me. The simple matter of the truth is that the maps/downloads archive sucks balls. U cant update ur map. u can only submit one map and thats it. Big *** bad bulls. I wonder why people jock this cite.

Programming is not that hard dude, I am an Electrical engineer and know a **** load of programmers at work. I probably couldnt program a download center for you but I can design and build a micro wave amplifier for you within a few hours. It doesnt matter any more any way, I lost my 470points account , yet I am not too thrilled about making maps any more. My first map got to the top 20 rpg's on wc3.net, my second map reached the top 3 out of all generes on wc3.net. I bet If I had bothered to make a third one, it would get the first spot no dought. But...It does not bare me any fruit, all map making does is give you criticism from players, frowning eyes from admins, and no kind of reward what so ever. Blah blah blah....I guess I am talking too much now, about time to stop.

You can only submit one map? I think updating is very necessary feature, the maps downlaod section is uesless without it. Can an admins please answer my questions. Thanks.

I've seen people upload more than one map, and probaly if you PMed a admin you could just ask for them to take the old one down so you could upload your new version.

The reason the store hack was removed was due to serious security risk that was exploited by some anonymous people. Nevertheless, points and the store hack were only a minor fun addition to the forums to be an incentive for a more active, friendly community. And yes, programming isn't very hard, just very time consuming. As for map making... everyone is given their own right to criticize someone else's work, even if they have a bogus reason. Don't make maps expecting some reward or anything, make them if you want to or enjoy it. There is no way to please everyone...
