im not here to hold your hand through everything. you have to learn some things on your own. this board is for specific questions, not simply 'please explain the entire process to me'. |

Last time I checked, This board was here for help, whatever the form. Im sorry, I am not familiar with Milkshape, but if you were able to get your model into .mdx form, then you just need to worry about unwrapping the model so that you can put a skin on it. I believe that you might be able to get someting called "lithunwrap", I think thats what they use for milkshape, and then use that to make an unwrap of your model. Then when you go to put your model and the skin in game, the skin needs to be converted to a .blp using the warcraft 3 viewer or some other converter. When you use the TFT importer to put them in the game the files should have this form of path war3mapimported\XXXX.mdx XXXX.blp where XXXX is the skin/model name-- the .blp form is just supposed to be the name, It seems funny, but it works This is how I put them in after using the warcraft 3 art tools (3ds MAX) to export them, I am not sure the same process is used to put milkshape exported models in game. Hopefully someone that is proficient with putting milkshape models in game can provide a little more help. I know when I attempted to put my MAX models in game, I had someone there who walked me through it (Challis). |

IM not here to hold your hand, all I wanted was file used to link Milkshapes with Wc3 I didnt ask for an exact explination and I wasnt expecting one, I can figure it out I just needed a little help.:...: thx STURMguy22, that was the other folowup question i had. Im not new to the importing tho. once i figure out this whole thing, id like to offer my assistance to people who want models, i have autocad and i have figured out a way to use it with Milshapes (if i had money id get 3ds Max) I consider my skils with autocad acceptable for the time being. |

This is My model so far, I have rendered it in autocad to show you the picture, the colors may not be exact when i put it in wc3, i have already imported it into milkshapes and exported it into mdl format, then i put in what it told me to and modifyed to my models atributed and exported it into mdx, it was a chalenge lol. I felt like trying something easy to start out, heres my Pylon... |
