Other ways to get .mdl files?

Any way to obtain .mdl format of models without using yobgul's file converter

Its not working for me, i put it in my war3 folder, backed up the .exe and replaced it with the one in the zip file, but i still get errors when loading it

Is this the only way to get .mdl files?
