Model preview help

You know how blizzard has those little gif images of a unit attacking etc. well how do you make those with black background or possibly white

edit:I know how to change background in art tools preview but how do you get rid of the grid and then save it as a gif

I believe that they likely just rendered them on their own to do this u just open the model, then give it the material (making the material takes a little work, and ul have team glow problems...) then set it to render whicher part of it is the animation and ca-poosh, ur done.

But inorder to animate you spereate the meshes and then wc3 engine fills in those gaps does the 3ds max render support that? If i had to Guess I doubt it does.

Yea, im pretty sure ur right, but c Blizz has this stuff, so they can easily do wutever they want with it, so i dunno wut to tell u, srry.

Get Warcraft II veiwer get him where you want him and on the animation you want. Go up to veiw

then click show axis off and if it has a camera then camera too.

Change the backgorund color. Then go up to animation then click picture sequence. After it is done you will have alot of pictures in order.

But you need a picture program like image ready that comes with photoshop.

I tried loading my model into wc3 viewer but it crashes I believe it has to do with file paths and textures any ideas?


edit: ususally what I set my skins to is wc3mapImported\???? so I dont have to worry about file textures and stuff.

What are the texture paths on the unit that you showed?

Textures\HeroTaurenChieftain.blp

and

units\Undead\FrostWyrm\FrostWyrm.blp

Mine are just like skin.blp and thats it what do you think I would have to change the filepath too?

The textures to unit are in the mpq so the wc3prieviewer knows where to find them but for my unit I am guessing wc3 previewer doesnt know so it crashes.

I tried using a texture from the mpq but that didnt work any ideas?
