This is REALLY annoying me... my newest attempts at creating something new in warcraft sprouted quite the good and simple idea even if i say so myself, in real jungles you cant just look through the thick leafdeck, but in warcraft III you look from the top so I figured that making it 3rd of 1st person with a real looking leafdeck would make a great experiece. I immediately started thinking on how to most eficiently overcome the problem that i can get realistic leafs when there is a tree hanging on them, so I thought, lets skin them away!

The problem is... THEY WONT APPEAR IN THE GAME and its making me crazy, I checked the path, I checked everything really.

(path: ReplaceableTextures\AshenvaleTree\AshenCanopyTree.blp)

BECAUSE i also needed to use the normal canopy trees, so I imported the alphad trees under the ashencanopytree path and then it put the replaceabletexture of the "leafdeck" as the ashenvale canopy tree one, and in the editor, it looked FINE, but ingame it didnt. Thank you for reading this and I hope i can hear a suggestion soon.

/thx in advance

*EDIT*: I DID skin/alpha the damn tree as you can see in the screenshots unlike some other people (Oxalic) tend to think.

I changed your title like you asked, and bumped it. :P

Wait... so you skinned an ashenvale canopy tree to look like a barrens canopy tree? Why not just use the barrens canopy tree?

I think I'm missing something here... and also, what do you mean by a "leaf deck?"

I used the sunken ruins tree REPLACEABLE TEXTURE, alphad the necesary (damn word) part out and imported it as the REPLACEABLE TEXTURE for the ashenvale canopy tree, that way, I could keep on using normal canopy trees and the new leafdecks.

Leaf Deck: In a rainforest you can barely see the sky because there is a deck of leaves shielding the light.

And thanks Linkmaster.

Ok, I'm still a little confused. Whatever you have in those screenshots looks remarkably like the Sunken Ruins Canopy Tree. What did you alpha out? And what does it look like in-game?

If it really is a skinning problem, I would head over to the skinning forum and ask around there. If you just want a second Sunken Ruins Canopy Tree... Why not use the existing texture?

1) I alphad out the brown part, you know: The part that is not green and where leafs grow ON.

2) My problem was, they dont show up INGAME so I can only see their shadows ingame.
