Question 'b. using the burrowed unit model.

I want to create a unit that can move but has the model of a burrowed unit. I thought this was an easy job, but it isn't. I can't find the burrowed unit model, it's locked within the models of units that can burrowed and will only show if you let the concerning unit burrow, which also disables the unit's abilities, movement and attack. I want a unit that can move while burrowed and cast abilities.
Who can help me out?

Make a new unit with the model of a unit that can burrow, and in the "Art - Required animation names" put 1 word out of the burrowed forms name (normally "Alternate"). You can find the animation names by going to the "Art - Model" field, opening it up for change, choosing the model from the dropdown box, but without hitting ok, go back to the terrain editor and the model will be shown in the "Prieview" window with the animation name above it.

Aaah very nice:), thumbs up for you.
Thanks A lot.
Well I guess we can close this thread...

Me again...

I think I spoke 2 soon...:
The burrowed unit model had no animation: as soon as I make it move it shows the model of the unit originaly being able to burrow, the crypt fiend in this case.
I figure I need to extract the burrowed unit model from the mpq files and then copy it and change the animations to nothing. Now.. how do I do THAT?:P Can anyone help me?

Also, I'd like to have some nice burrow special effects, does anyone know some special effects I should use to simulate a unit burrowing?

And as always: thanks for all your time and effort helping me.

Bye, remy.
