Help with triggers

i want a unit to cast a spell, like lets say firewall, where it summons units. i want it so that a player cant click on a unit. how do i do that?

First make a chaos ability, and copy the unit that needs to be unselected(but targetable and damagble right?) Now, set the chaos ability to transform into the copied unit. Now, detect when the spell is cast, then add first the lucost ability, and then your chaos ability. Bingo

Doesn't summon water elemental have no targeting?

You could use that as a base.

If summon water elemental wouldnt work, then do this.

Create a dummy ability which cant target things(like say thunderclap, with 0 damage and 0% slow) with the mana cost/icon/whatever of your spell, but not the effect, have all the effects do nothing.

Then, make a trigger, so that when this ability is cast, it summons a dummy unit and casts the spell with the effects you want at wherever you want the ability to be centered around all the time.

no, i want the units not to be clicked. like in dota. with sidreal, u summon, and u cant click on the summoned unit

What you need to do is a make a custom ability (Don't steal one like you did Vex's Avatar) and say Trigger Event - Unit Specific
change it to Unit -Casts a spell
Condition-Unit Comparsion-Spell Cast = Custom Spell
Trigger Create Doodad-

Note: You have to make a doodad that has the property to obsucre vision (Like Fog)

Action: Wait (Spells duartion)
Action: Destroy last created doodad,

however the destorying doodad action isn't the best way to go about it , but it'll be a start
