Well I figured out my previous problem that was caused when I moved a note in my note track I had my stand animation set to like 40 frames, and I wanted it to be longer so I just moved the note further down the track and moved the others further down to make room. Now when I did this, I kept getting the message that the end note track for the stand animation (the one I moved) was missing. This was done in the middle of animations and I believe that was the cause of the problem My question is... How can I move notes around so I can add frames to my animations without causing problems? |

Come on guys, I'm pretty sure this is possible |

Yes moving notes does not affect the key frames or the animations at all. All they do is tell the wc3 engine what frames a certain animation takes place. |

I know what they do, my problem comes in where I have an animation, but I want to make it more frames, so I go into the note track and move the note, and then I get an error saying that it is not found, even though I increase the animation time to fit with the note track, it keeps saying that it doesnt show a close animation for whichever One Im workin on So let me give you an example: Ive got a stand animation and a walk animation and a death animation, in that order on the note track Each are 8 frames long (I know that this is small but its for an example) Here Ill give the placement: stand: 2-10 walk: 12-30 Attack: 32-40 And so I animate the stand animation, and then I animate the walk animation and I realize that I would like it to be 18 animations instead of 8. So I go to the note track and move the note around like this stand: 2-10 walk: 12-38 attack 40-48 and I dont need to adjust the first animatino (stand), because its unchanged, but I make my animation for the walk last from 12-38 frames and then animate the last animation And when I go to preview it, it says the closing note for the walk is not found. Even though Ill I did is move it and not rename it Any reason why this happens? |

When you move the notes do you move the ending anim of the first animtion to match. let me do a diagram. Original Anim. Say the lines vertical lines (l) represent ending animations and starting Now your notes are same frame as each. l--------------l---l------------------l---l---------------l Anim. Frames l--------------l---l------------------l---l---------------l Notes Altered Anim. Now you said you moved the notes lets say I moved them forward alittle l--------------l---l------------------l---l---------------lAnim. Frames l----------------l---l---------------------l---l----------lNotes See how the notes are not on the same frame as the animation so it will mess up Now when you moved the notes the animation did not become longer you have to move the animation keys aswell I hope this helps if not just reply |

yes I redid the animations to fit the note track. Believe me, I've rechecked everything and I'm sure that its not something stupid. Whenever I moved the notes, I moved the animations and expanded and shrunk to fit within the give note boundries Have you ever had to change note locations to allow for more or less frames? If so, then it might be something stupid that Im doing. If not, then I'm not sure |

Yes I have moved animations around many times. I guess Ill tell you what I do, usually I take all the animations Including the ending of the animation I want to expand. Then I move it where I want to so there is the begining anim. with a huge gap then the end animation. Then I go to dope sheet and grap all the notes except for the begining note for the animation I want to expand then I move those down to match the time with the keys. If I could see the notes etc. I might be able to help you but what your saying I have done before but I am not sure why you are getting errors but people get nervous about giving their stuff to other people but thats your choice not mine. |

to avoid that problem, I decided to start my animations with a model that is already up for download because I knew I would probably want help here, I moved tha attack animation. In order to do this, I also moved the death animation All I did was move, and youll notice that all the animations fit with the notes (I had the the key frames selected when I moved the notes so they were moved the exact same difference). |

The post above is the stool you have to change the art texture path which is this file here |

ok so when you previewed the model, it didnt say it had any errors? |

ya just that you didnt have an ending key for a certain mesh or w/e I for got what it was but I have goten those before and the model still works with out it. |

well it is functiong, partly now if you preview him in the editor, you will find that his attack information jumps back to the regular position at the end, but if you check the actual animations, youll see that he glides smoothly back to his regular position on the ground. I believe this is caused by that frame movement problem. Check it out and youll see what I mean |

Well using common sense thats probly what the ending key was for so, For example you place a key with no ending the viewer will not play that animation so go back and check the keys and make sure to place one at the end of the animation. I don't have access to my pc right now but I will try it when I get a chance. |

thats the whole problem Im talking about, I have everything in the right place and the note is not recognized once its moved, even if everything is replaced. |
