How do i make a cool lightning effect in photoshop 7

I want to know how you make a cool lightning effect.

Not that stupid clouds invert adjust levels that looks dumb.

But a really cool lightning effect.

i'm not going to bother to look but they'res probably something like that in filters

These are kind of uncontrollable but:

First make an image of almost equal proportions something like
500 x 300 or similar if you're making a Sig. then you go
Filter>render>clouds
Filter>render>difference clouds
Then hit Ctrl+F 4 times so that you have balanced clouds
Now, go to Ctrl+L and drag the black slider (on the top bar) to the left
Until you see something in relation to lightning
Now go Ctrl+U check the colorize box and pick your color
Whala, instantaneous clouds :D

that effect looks really dumb, the only thing i can get to look remotely cool is by hand

Then do it by hand but those the only two ways you're going to get your lightning

search at google "ligtening tutorial" or somethin, "how to make" ect.

log out, and look at his sig again ;)
