I've tried so many things, so many different ways, and for the life of me, I can not recreate the results of the blizzard tutorial. I'm not even very far in!!! I am up to the part where you put a texture onto the head. I follow everything step by step, but it just does not work! It wont show up in 3ds max, it wont show up when i render it with the blizzard preview plug in. The stange thing is though when i swamp the texture with the texture that blizzard has, it will work in the blizzard preview plug-in but not show up in the 3ds max studio... I'm not completely new to 3d modelling, but this is the first time i have tried to do a model completely from scratch. Any pointers, tips, on what I might be doing wrong would OWN like really own... you don't even know! lol So you know, I'm using 3ds max 4.2 for the modelling and Paint Shop Pro 8.00. Thnx |

Please learn more about 3dsmax b4 askin questions. The art tool tutorial describe exactly what you need to do to get it work. You just need some basic knowledges of using 3dsmax. Here is my explaination: 1-go to metarial editor 2-in the metarial type(the button that is to the right). The metarial type is normally set to standard 3-now change the metarial type to Composite 4-change the shader type to blinn(this is normal) 5-now press the base material in the rollout 6-choose WarcraftIII 7-give the base material a skin/texture 8-now press the button under base material 9-Choose warcraftIII 10-Choose a skin/texture and check the full alpha. 11-give the material to the model 12-preview it with the plugin If there is any errors, than it may be because you havent given the model a uvwmap. If any error message comes up, post it here. |
