In the thread of desmasic, I told that I would give proof of my terrain. I was willing to do it but I found some problems on the way. You see, I had some personal problems and was under heavy stress. I had too much stress on me then my body could even handle, so without a doubt I got a breakdown and all my skills (My terrain, my knowledge, my school work, my calmness, everything) dropped dramaticly. So I was afraid to show ANY of my terrain in my breakdown state. Now, most stress is lifted, most problems are gone and as case of my mother, she is alive and fine now, so I am feeling 100% again. After the discussion with desmasic I felt like working with the WE again, after 2 months. (Could be 3... not sure...) Well, I mean seriousely working with the WE. I told him I would make proof. I noticed that my true skill hasn't completely returned yet, but I am satisfied with this at the moment. After all, you have to build up slowely :) and I'm actually not yet (like the Peasant says) "Ready to Work" Anyway, usually I rate for other people, but now people can rate mine :P |

The second screen shot... Not much terrain seen here, but just to show that I can do more things then terrain ;) Though this is not impressive at all :D |

And as for the last one... Some more terrain is shown here, but as you can see, it is all the same 64 x 64 map. |

They are nice, but aren't they like the first 3 ?? At least I know I can work with u :P |

Like I said, it is just a 64 x 64 map. So not much variation can be made of screen shots. The first one is from a mountain of the back that looks to the beach and the ship. The second one shows the people on the ship, with other words, on the beach. And the third one shows from the middle to the mountain (to the back) so that's actually all variation. If I let them look to the right, then you'll see an empty place. I didn't made anything there. I'll post some more shots... EDIT: Well it's good to hear that you don't dislike it :) |

I think they look good. But try using the lower and raise tool a bit more..don't overuse it though, just sorta raise, lower, then smooth it. Also use a few more doodads that fit the environment...like for the village, some hay carts..hay stacks..etc |

The raise and lower was indeed a small pain yes... I didn't toyed much around with it actually even though I should have. I really should have used it more... Then again, for a 64 x 64 map I didn't really used every bit of knowledge I had but still... Normally villages and kingdoms are my specialty. It seems it isn't anymore ;) Oh well... Yes, I do know what belong in a village and so. But where would those things come from? Take a look on the screen shots, (except for boat) can you find any human there? No one is there, so no hay clumps can be found. |

Woah ! Your so good at Villages ! Nice , but I think you made 2 many mills. |

Yes, well, when I make villages with hills I just can't stop myself from NOT making any mills :p Just something I like. |

Few more things, 1) Mix the tiles, like below the trees, give some grass, and the mushy grass (ashenvale tileset) or some dirty sand. 2) The path you have given in between is ok, but it is too clear for reality. Throw in some doodads, some junk all over. Even place a rock in between he road with some shrubs to give the effects. Then change the terrain below that rock to of grass or some dirty terrain. I haven't worked much with this tileset, the waterfall screenshot in my thread, if you have seen, was of this tileset. I don't fancy this tileset much though :P |

Most of the things have been mentioned but I thought I should let you know that windmills usually face the same direction to catch the wind. |
