i am interested in starting a campaign about the War of the ancients between the demons and night elves. I am new to this site, and know only a little bit about skinning and moddeling, so if anybody is interested, please reply to me. I have basically developed the story (which is an extension on the Blizzard one), the heroes, and the mission objectives in each level, and the number of levels overall (11) |

You may want to wait for Richard Knaak to finish his next book, which is unsurprisingly entitled 'War of the Ancients'. According to Amazon it's out in April. I'm presuming - if The Last Guardian is anything to go by - Knaak and Metzen have changed a few things around, or added new characters or events. |

What skins would you need? NE and Demons are immortal, so its the same elves and demons as in RoC. So you wouldn't need new skins, if you're following the main plotline. |

i came up with this idea a while ago, but never got around to it. i didnt know that their was a book coming out on the subject, so i added some info to make the plot a little more complex. (for instance the origins of the demon hunters and the princess aszune) as for the skins, i dont know quite yet what i want. Maybe some new types of demons for the burning legion. i am also going to have night elf peasants (because the high borne wouldnt use whisps), and night elf versions of priests and other elven casters. i can do these myself however. I will post again if i am sure what other units i will need |

One new model i will need is for Ilidan when he was a dark mage, and not a demon hunter. This would use the basic model of Ilidan, except with eyes instead of the blindfold, and without the swords. i think his attack art would probably be like a sorcerres or something |

So, a darker looking priest? |

sort of, but with the lidan body and clothing and without the staff. but priest like eyes would be pretty cool |

Then you'd need model edits. It'd be MUCH easier to reskin a caster unit, but you can't do that and get what you want. |

ok, in that case, i guess a night elf priest would be cool but wouldn't it still be possible to replace the priest's chest area with a bare night elf chest with tatoos? |

Probably. You could either skin it, which could be tough, or try and geomerge, but that requires modelling tools and you'd have to make sure the models are to proportion. |

I guess I'll skin it then The only reason i wanted him to have his the Ilidan style tatooed chest is to distinguish him from a normal night elf priest By the way, although this has nothing to do with the war of the ancients, what period of MTG storyline does your Planeswalker Wars project take place in? I know a good deal about the Tempest, Stronghold, Masques, Nemesis, and Prophecy stories, but I haven't really been following it since Torment |

It has a few characters from the Onslaught block, but it doesn't really fit with the normal MTG plot. It's a sort of spinoff storyline. There will be some characters and places from the time period you know of, but I didn't start until about Invasion, so I don't know much about those sets. As for the Illidan Mage, drop the book and staff, maybe cape, too. The bare chest would be the hardest part, I think. |

Ok. Thanks. |
