I did the last tutorial on the bear form ability. I was glad it was done beacause i had just finished a tank model with alternate animation making him from a tank to an anti air tank (turrets deploying... for morph animation.. ) But the problem is that the tutorial only works with the night elf druid form as starting model.... when i change the art file by my tank's, there is no morph animation and the model after the morph isnt even the anti air tank...... i did all the usual animation then the morphs then the same animation but with "alternate". Is that the right way??? ( i dont think so..) Did someone manage to create a personal unit who morph????? plz heeeeeeelp

Yes I have been able to do a morph are you using the art tools because it tells you all the animation names for morph. If you have any questions just reply

lacrossetitans thx 4 answering, i really won't be able to sleep until i solve this problem.
Wel i read the art tools tutorial (actually this is the only thing i read on the subject.....). If i have well undestood i must set a new set of animation as the normal one but with "alternate" in front of the animation names??? Anyway, let's suppose the animations are good. How do i put it into the éditor??? Must i type "alternate" in the required animation field tag of the unit or the spell??? If you could explain step by step you would be my god :ggani:

Well in my case what i did i was using the same model but with i needed to use a different texutre for one mesh so, i copied the whole animation and notes then just renamed the notes with alterante. but to answer you question if the editor does not locate a alternate animation it should chose the normal anim.

anims are good, the WE isnt. Known problem that the WE doesnt really read the animaton alternates up, even if the model is alright. Seems that it has to be preset like in txt and slks...

Ohhhhh, you are sure i have to modify .txt or .slk? because this is not really my speciality.... come on i'm sure there is a simple way!!!! it must be possible!! im sure someone did it. Anyway from now i can't really look at it (im a pupil with a lot of homework :nono: ) but this weekend its hollyday :D and i must find it because this is my first unit and it blocks all the process of my mod...

Either I don't understand what your asking for or Justianes is wrong, but for example lets say you have BM(blademaster) you make it the normal art for meta., bear form etc. any skill that requires alternate model. In the skill it should have alternate form then for example lets use pally although this will work there will be no moprh anim. unlike the druid morphing to bear, but if you have a model with 2 different models in it, that you plan to use a morph animation you name 1 set of animations for the normal model such as walk stand attack etc. then for the second model you make a morph animation that leads from the 1st model to the second then for the morphed model you use alternate with animations such as stand attack etc.
You probly already know that but just incase

Then once fully exported you place that model in the skill for normal form and alternate form then the editor checks to see if that model contains the alternate anim. type and plays it if not it will play the normal anim. types

:ggani: :ggani: :ggani: found out the probl!!!
Actually i had to type in the alternate model : request animation=alternateex before i was putting just alternate......
But now it works fine!!

If anim names are correct morphing is no problem, I did the snotling submerger that way. Submerging and morphing is the same thing really. the only thing you have to make sure thiugh is that you have another unit in WE named the morphed form and that the original unit equvalences the morphed form. If you got that, everything should work fine. Just make sure that the morphed form got all required anims so it doesn't morph back on attack etc.
