Dexporter\ Gmax problems

ok I finish my model in gmax and I use dexporter to export it so Ia seperate window comes up, and under export there are 3 options: Export to file, Write to memory, and print to listener. when I hit Export to file it says: Gmax users must export using write to memory or print to listener, when I hit Write to memory it says this feature is not yet implemented, and when I hit print to listener It says all information currently in the listener will be cleared and to my knowledge nothing happens will someone please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WC3player2	It will print it to the listener the box in the lower left corner right click it to open then you will have to copy small chunks over into notepad.

WC3player2	you slect the text and use copy and paste duh!!!! Dang thats a dumb question.

WC3player2	yes there is allitle box down in the lower left corner, its white with words. After Export It SHould say Export Successful! Down there right click and open and copy it to notepad.

WC3player2	save it and rename WhatEver.txt to WhatEver.mdl. Then Convert mdl to mdx.

WC3player2	just rename it. Mdl is all text so just right click and rename it. I should write A tut on how to do this.

The Demonhunter	alright I right clicked it im calling it taurensamurai and I renamed It taurensamurai.mdl and it still doesnt show up in War3fileconverter

aahhh. I have that same problem, though there is already a tutorial done by magos. Though its a little empty for me....... Anyway maybe your computer is unable to create mdl format, don't ask me why or how i'm just guessing. Just convert another units MDX into MDL then copy and paste your text from the listener to that MDL. Then once everything is replaced, rename export etc. Also can you show us your work once you get it working?

WC3player2	don't listen to toxic. after you have mdl file use YobGuls File Converter to convert it to a MDX file and its done.
