Can some one please explain what each of the things on "targets allowed" mean. like what would hapen if i checked allied and enemy. kinda like all the opposites and stuff. cause i dont understand what i need to attack things.

or i just want to know what i need to check to attack everthing. because one of them is like none. and if i click none will that over right the other ones???

Targets allowed means what the ability can hit. If ground is check, it can hit ground units. If air is checked it can hit air. Allied means it can effect allied units (like auras) while enemy means it can effect enemies. If you had, say a devotion aura, with allied and enemy selected, it should give the armor bonus to both friendly and enemy forces in the AOE.

Try checking Air, Allied, Enemy, Friend, Ground, Hero, Player Units, Self, Structure, and Trees if you want a bomb effect. It should hit Air and Ground units, including Heroes and your units (including yourself). It will also hit buildings and trees.

what about mechanical and organic?

I think that is only if you want it to target one of those specifically, like Charm can only target organic units. I might be wrong, but that's what comes to my mind.

{Edit} You may want to check neutral too. Also, I checked under Banish, which doesn't effect mechanicals, and it had organic checked, but not mechanical. I would try neither and if that doesn't work select both.

You are right about mechanical and organic being for just specifics.

Actually, just check "Air, ground, structure, trees, debris" because, just like "mechanical" and "Organic" "Friend, enemy, neutral" are just if you want it it target those specifically. So if you don't check "Friend, enemy, neutral" then it will effect all units, no matter what they are. Same with "Heros" they fall under the catagory "Ground" so only check "hero" if it effects heroes ONLY. And same with "Self, Not-Self" if you don't check either then it CAN effect yourself, if you check "self" it can ONLY effect yourself, and not-self is of course any unit but itself. And again "Player Units" is another one of those only if you want it to ONLY effect player units, so don't check it unless you DON'T want it effecting computer players.

PS: If you want it to effect anything and everything... just leave the "Targets" box BLANK (uncheck everything) because the ENTIRE box is for specific tageting like my above examples.

Meaning, the box is for narrowing down the effect, if there is nothing in the box, it effects EVERYTHING.

Well, that will me a bit. I always wondered why the box acted strangely sometimes. Thanks!
