I just read the FAQ how to change the animation that plays over someones head when they are the target of a buff, but i was wondering if that would apply to my situation. I am trying to alter the statis trap ability so instead of the stun animation, it plays the ensnare animation, would it work the same way?:hm: |

I don't think so, although before asking you should try it; it takes maybe 5 minutes to do. The problem in that Ensnare has a missile animation as well, which (as far as I know) wouldn't show up. So you'd just suddenly have a net around nearby units with no apparent way of getting there. The Stasis Trap animation might cover up that fluke, I'm not sure. You could make a trigger that shows the missile animation and then the ensnare net, but I don't know how. I'm not a good triggerer ://// |

Thx for replying! I only want the net to appear aroung the person. I am trying to alter the statis trap ability so instead of the statis trap apearing, i need a crate. When someone goes near, a net pops up. That's it. This is for my "secret project" so I don't want to say too much.:ggani: |

Well, in that case just change the buffart to the ensnare model. Glad I could help :D However, next time it'd be best if you tried it out before asking... even on my computer it would only take about 5 minutes ://// |

i did try, but i guess something went wrong :( oh well, i'll try again. wait, would i change the buff art for statis trap or the stun buff affect? that might be the problem. BTW, haven't gotten a chance to test it yet, this comp doesn't have it installed. Can't use the other one right now. THXanyway. |

You need to edit the stun effect, but all you need to do is go to File-->New Buff and edit that, and then either edit the statis trap or a custom, stasis trap-based spell to have the new buff. |
