Elevator Walls????

Im getting crazy!!!
I dont get how to use elevator walls... I tried to do it with invisible platforms and pathing blockers but that doesnt look good and u cant kill invisible platforms!

I did this a lot and I tell you that you are not the only one who got crazy...


for every elevator you can place walls ... the trick is: you have to turn on phating (just press "P") than you can see where the wall is exactly.

but in fact you don't have to place the walls and im not quite sure what the hell they added them for...

with trigger action: "distructable - open/close elevator walls" you can just open and close the walls ... and with "ditructable - set elevator high" you can change the high ... but you also need to open and close walls because the Programm doesnt know if the elevator is as high as the cliff nearby and such stuff ...

If you don't get what I mean I could make an example map to make it clear ... you need?

Note: When I said this first I didnt have any elevator wall at all but THAT wall works fine now...

okay the elevator walls in that image. that prevents the unit from climbing onto the elevator while its moving, Then the invisible platforms must be half off the cliff level half on. Think of elevator walls, as elevator doors :)

I cant place elevator walls on the other sides but I have an idea, I make a region where I take away collusion from the units and then when it steps out the collusion comes back...

Look at this! I thought "open elevator doors" only works with real elevator walls but I found out it DOES work with invisible plattforms as well... :bgrun:

I just got it work throught regions that turns collusion on and off but it looks bad.

I tried your pathing block system in my map and it works fine!

THX! Finally it both works and looks good, it was buggy with the regions but it worked, u needed to stand in the middle of the elevator before u went out...

LOL, I tested a lot of ways before me too. But I tried other than use the elevator walls triggers... I got it work with regions that turns collusion on and off (12 different regions).
